John Dvorakという、以下のPC Magazineの記事を書いた記者のことは知りませんでしたが、OLPC-openにその後postされたIvanのメールによれば、過去にいろいろ面白いことを言ってきた歴史があるそうです。

Webメディアの論調の話がしばらく出ていましたが、英語圏ではもっと大きなスケールで同じようなことが行われていることもあります。

まあ100以上あるコメントも、この辺の話を追っている人には予想のつくものばかりです。
誰かが言っていたが、マーケティングには失敗してますよね。Mac OSをSteveから買っておけば、Steveがマーケティングしてくれたのに、という意見はそこかしこで聞くのです。今となってはとても良いアイディアだったに違いない、という気もしてきます。
それはそうと、英語圏で暮らしていて思うのは「皮肉をいったり侮辱したりするための語彙や言い回しは英語には本当に豊富だなあ」ということです。エスキモーが雪を意味する言葉を何百も持っているように、英語は人の意見を批評したり皮肉を言ったり「あほなこと言うな！」や「お前は馬鹿だ」ということを言ったりする言い回しがたくさんあって、こういうコメント群を読んでいると勉強になります(フランス語やイタリア語のほうがさらにすごい、という意見も聞いたことがありますが)。
